Clown Magician Musical Automaton. Paris: Leopold Lambert, 1900s. As a concealed music box plays, the magician, nodding his head and sticking out his tongue, waves his wand, and conjures four different items on the table top: a dove, three baubles, a rabbit, and a die. Cloth-covered wand and metal cup, the face painted with a dragonfly motif. Two-color mohair wig. Original costume showing wear, but good condition overall. 25” tall, inclusive of wooden base (12 x 9 x 4 ½”). Recreated Lambert key. Paint and fabric a bit worn.
