Brown University Class of 1887 Photograph Album/Yearbook with Baseball Team Photos. Approximately 100 original sepia toned albumen photographs neatly inserted on 20 thick front and back leaves bound in a large original pebbled calf album (folio), gilt titled with metal latches, gilt dentelle turn-ins, a.e.g. Photographs include class photos, many faculty and student bust portraits, views of campus buildings and classrooms, two baseball team photos, and a large view of the outdoor graduation (10 x 13”). Laid in with a photo of a sandlot baseball team, newspaper clipping obituary of a Brown University faculty member (October 2nd, 1895), and an 1888 Delta Phi menu for a fiftieth annual symposium. Backstrip perished, both boards detached with several scuffs; photographs clean. A notable 1887 graduate includes the former Governor and U.S. Senator of Rhode Island, Theodore Francis Green.
