Antique Italian Phrenology Skull. Circa 1852. Heavy skull on ebonized fruitwood base, painted with markings all over diagramming phrenological regions and corresponding characteristics of the brain. 7 x 9 x 7 ½". Signed “G.T. 1852" on base of skull. Paint and plaster appear to have been added to a partial or complete human skull, with human teeth. UNUSUAL AND RARE.
