CARDINI (Richard Pitchford, 1885 – 1973). Original Film Footage of Cardini Presenting Billiard Ball and Card Sleights. Canister of original 8mm Kodak home movie film footage as captured by Eddie Dawes at the home of Dr. John Henry Grossman in 1968, and featuring the famed sleight-of-hand magician presenting a series of expert sleights with billiard balls (color changes, multiplying balls, vanishes), as well as a portion of his card fanning routine while wearing the same white gloves he used at the Royal Command Performance for British royalty in 1933. Also featured are Walter Gibson and John Mulholland, with a section of the film featuring scenes from the annual Hull Fair. In the original tin canister and bearing Dr. Dawes' label. Sold together with the copyright to the footage.It has been said that this footage is the only film extant that shows Cardini presenting certain portions of his fabled billiard ball routine.
