Disney Pluto Barber’s Pole 24-Panel Animation Sequence. Walt Disney, ca. late 1930s. A twenty-four panel preliminary animation sequence on six sheets of five-peghole paper, in graphite with some occasional accents, captions in manuscript, depicting Pluto in a series of humorous slapstick approaches to a spinning barber’s pole. At the conclusion, Pluto heads toward a hall of mirrors for the next scene. Possibly intended for the short “Bone Trouble” (1940), which features a carnival hall of mirrors. Panels 4 x 5 ½”. Sheets 10 x 12”. Scattered minor soiling, rust marks beside old staple holes.
