Fleming, Ian. Early Ephemera Relating to Ian Fleming. Includes A & I Stop Press (1947; supplement to Alphabet and Image) Nos. 1 and 7; issue No. 1 includes the announcement of a competition devised by Fleming to evolve a 27th character of the alphabet with Fleming the sole judge of the entries; issue No. 7 gives the results of the competition in some detail, whilst stating that Fleming had gone abroad and that the competition has been kept open in his absence with help of Tom Driberg. Also included is a rare book catalogue for Elkin Mathews LTD. (1937; No. 69) listing Ian Fleming as one of its directors. Desirable examples of some of the earliest ‘Ian-cunabula’ ephemera on the market.
