Houdini purchased the 1919 Italian silent feature “Il Mistero” at a U.S. Customs Service auction. Produced by Vera Film, in this pamphlet Houdini translates the studio’s treatment of the film, presenting the story in three “visions” based on the ancient Egyptian notion of metempsychosis, or reincarnation.
