Laboe was a radio host, record producer, and radio station owner who assisted in music licensing for films such as American Graffiti (1973), Dirty Dancing (1987) and Lethal Weapon (1987), among others. Laboe was also one of the first DJs to allow people of different races to make radio requests and contributed to desegregation in Los Angeles by hosting Saturday night dance shows at El Monte Legion Stadium outside of LA, which were open to an attended by teenagers of different class and racial backgrounds. He is also credited with coining the term, “Oldies but Goodies". Overall good condition.
