Coin in a Ball of Yarn. Los Angeles: Thayer Manufacturing, ca. 1947. A marked coin is discovered inside two nested, locked metal boxes, which are wrapped in a ball of yarn – which is inside two nested, hardwood boxes. Largest box measures 5 ¼ x 5 ¼ x 5 ¾”. Major wear and discoloration to finish, keys a bit sticky; fair to good.
