Victor Talking Machine Co. VE 9-55 Cabinet Style Combination Phonograph and Radio. Camden, N.J.: Victor Talking Machine Co., ca. 1927. Gorgeous walnut cabinet with Victor’s top of the line record changer on the left side and a premium RCA Radiola 28 radio on the right. 49 ½ x 49”. Damaged wood in several places. Not tested. Rare. In 1925, Victor Talking Machine Co. and Radio Corporation of America (RCA) held a meeting and decided on a joint venture. The result was a short production run of 2,039 Model VE 9-55 jukeboxes, which retailed for the outstanding sum of $1,550. In 1927, Victor Talking Machine Co. and RCA merged.
