Joel Putnam Patented Ladies’ Shoe. American, 1870. All-leather sample shoe, presumably submitted to the U.S. Patent Office and attached to display board. Label indicates the footwear was patented on September 13, 1870, No. 107,259. Sawn sole with buckle strap detached but present. Very good.
