A.O. Dady Hinged Cast Iron Tool Box. Early twentieth century cast iron toolbox, hand-lettered in red and gilt “A.O. Dady.” on the front. 7 x 19 x 7”. Considerable rust and scratching. Several inventions related to combustion engines were registered under the name A.O. Dady in the early twentieth century; the name is also mentioned in connection with Splitdorf Electrical Company, Chicago, in a 1913 issue of the agricultural journal Farm Machinery-Farm Power.
