Joseffy (Joseph Freud). Signed and Inscribed Portrait of Joseffy. Circa 1910. Handsome ¾ length portrait of the famed mechanician/magician in white tie and tails, and holding a magic wand. 5 ½ x 9 ¾”. Very good. This photograph was extracted from the scrapbook of David P. Abbott; Abbott’s monograph The Marvelous Creations of Joseffy (Lot 320) remains the best record of Joseffy’s many mechanical magical creations.
