Text is attributed to an unknown author, first printed in Hutching’s California Magazine in August, 1858 (Vol. III, p. 85). Red publisher’s wrappers, text letterpressed. 8vo. With two copies of the prospectus laid in, one annotated and initialed “C” by Wheat, a “draft” (or proof) of Wheat’s bookplate, and a letter to Arthur Ellis, a member of the Roxburghe Club, from Wheat. Fine.
