Micro Umbrella Illusion. New Haven: Petrie and Lewis (P&L), ca. 1950. Miniature version of the Mutilated Parasol effect in which loose handkerchiefs transpose locations with the cover of an umbrella. Two umbrella version, each one made of metal, and 9 ¼” long. With duplicate covers, silks, and handwritten instructions. See The P&L Book, Walker & Seaver, pp. 233-234. Rare. Said to be one of the rarest effects manufactured by P&L, one of perhaps six or fewer manufactured.
