Virgil (Virgil Harris Mulkey). The Great Virgil’s Bird Cage Die Box. Circa 1940. A brass bird cage placed in the wooden box, after repeated comedic by-play (a la the venerable Die Box routine), vanishes from the box without a trace. 14 ¼ x 6 ¼ x 5 ¾”. Clever mechanism. Owned and used by Virgil.
