Reverse Glass Cups and Balls Magician Candy Box. English or Continental, ca. 1870s. Cardboard and metal box with reverse-painted glass lid depicting a Cups and Balls magician performing for a well-dressed couple in a garden. Mirrored underside lid with border of beads. Faint old gift inscription to “Cynthia” on base. Approx. 3 ½ x 2 ½ x 1”. Metal frame to lid deteriorated, tears with some losses at corners, but stable overall. Rare.
