[Clyde Powers]. Autograph Letter to Clyde Powers. Dated Oct. 1, 1913. Illustrated letter on “The Magic Shop” letterhead listing P.B. Carlton and P.A. Denonn in the top margin, letter addressed to Powers. “Tonight we closed up at 7:40, it’s a (illustrated Jewish caricature) holiday tomorrow and Lewis has gone to pray. While I hope nothing happens, I once heard of a synagogue fallin’ down on the entire congregation. It was a very sad affaire, but a lot of pretty funerals. I have moved upstairs to Rich’s old room, tell him I found the empty skin of a sausage, at least it looked like that.” Not signed; last page missing, taped to matting.
