[Houdini] Candid Photograph of Beatrice Houdini and John Calvert. Circa 1930. Half-length image shows four people stand in front of a theatre, including Mrs. Houdini and Calvert, the movie star and globe-trotting magician. Mrs. Houdini wears a heavy black coat and hat. 3 ¼ x 4 ¼”. Scrapbook remnants to verso, else very good. Beatrice Houdini reportedly stated that Calvert was second only to Houdini in "playing the part of a magician."
