Printed ticket, rubber-stamped with number “49,” for Vernon’s May 10, 1947 lecture at the Jefferson Hotel. Text bills it as a “four-hour lecture on magic…lecture notes furnished.” One-page flyer describes the lecture further, announcing that the $6 admission price includes illustrated notes, and alludes to the fact that a previous lecture in Columbus, Ohio, lasted some seven hours. 2 3/8 x 3 5/8”. Corner bumps to ticket, old folds to flyer. It is interesting to note that the $6 admission price ($5 for the ticket and $1 for tax) charged for this lecture is roughly equivalent to $70 in 2019.
