Nest of Boxes. American, early 20th century. After a watch or other desired object has vanished, it is discovered inside the smallest of the set of four hardwood locked nested boxes. Fitted with gold painted metal hardware. The largest 9 ½ x 8 x 8 ½”. Finish shows signs of wear, some hardware missing; oxidation to latches. Good.
