Bryans Automatic Machine Works String Cutting Extraordinary. Kegworth, England, ca. 1947. Coin-operated machine performs a cut-and-restored conjuring trick: Crank the handle and watch as a blade cuts through the string. The severed ends are pulled apart and clearly shown, yet the string is restored to its original condition. A wheel with accompanying text scrolls by as the feat occurs. 21 x 14 x 12”. Original crackle-finish cabinet, nickel-plated corners and front pieces. Lock and key. Working. Modified to use U.S. quarters.
