Group of African American folk-art cloth dolls made with painted walnuts for heads, wire skeletons, and clothes made from various fabrics. These figures include an elderly man with beard holding a bushel full of cotton and a cane, a well-dressed woman with handbag and feather in her hat, a young man singing and playing the banjo, a young boy picking cotton, and a young girl clutching her doll. Tallest 10”. Uncommonly very good condition.
