Original light blue printed wrappers later rebound in quarter cloth over boards with vol. I wrappers at front and the other 18 wrappers, advertisements, and slips bound in rear. Illustrated with 40 plates including frontispieces, pictorial bastard title in vol. I, and in-text illustrations throughout. 8vo. xvi, 624 pp., ads present including the scarce “Village Pastor” slip in XV. Wraps lightly soiled and chipped at margins, plates toned and foxed, else a very good collection of the original serial run.
