Illustrated with three head vignettes, including a map of parts of Gallia (modern day France), Itallia, and other Eastern European countries; nine engraved coat of arms, four colored by a later hand. Thick 12mo. Spine chipped, bumped corners affecting boards, toning at margins, cut signature from title page. A square copy. Ludewig’s most important publication, which was created as a national handbook for the individual German territories, in which history, genealogy, topography, administration, etc. are touched upon.
