[xiv], 355, [14]pp. (lacking terminal leaf of index), with page numbers 232-47 and 273-80 omitted from the pagination as usual. Wing 1320. Sabin 55887. Rare; only four copies at auction in the last 20 years. Published in Britain but written in America, where Norton was a Puritan divine, having landed in Plymouth in 1635. The prefatory epistle is by John Cotton, the famous theologian whom Norton succeeded as minister of the First Church of Boston.
