[Chicago World’s Fair] Progress in Industrial Color and Protection at “A Century of Progress.” Chicago: American Asphalt Paint Co., 1933. First edition, original saddle stitched cream pictorial wrappers with original blue and white cording tied at spine; usually missing. Illustrated throughout in color through the pochoir process, showing the application of color to the modernistic exposition building, both interiors and exteriors, at the Chicago 1933 World’s Fair. Included with a TLS from the General Manager of the Chicago Exposition, Lenox R. Lohr, to G.M. Hermann, the president and author of “Color and Protection”, expressing his gratitude to his “company’s part in making it the colorful and brilliant panorama which has attracted so many millions of visitors during the past summer.” Thin 4to. Light finger soiling and dampstaining to front wrapper; interior fine and bright.
