Kurz, Louis. Pair of Pre-Great Chicago Fire Prints. Chicago: Jevne & Almini/Chicago Lithographing Co., 1866. Tinted lithographs depicting “Crosby’s Opera House” and “McVicker’s Theatre,” all of which burned in the fire of 1871, thus giving a rare glimpse into what life was like in a period when the city was a booming mid-west metropolis. Framed, sight 9 ½ x 12”. Lightly toned, else very good.
