Treager, Gabriel Shire. Flowers of Ugliness No. 9. Virginia Stock. London: G.S. Treager, 1836. Hand-colored lithograph depicting six slaves shackled together at the wrist. Generous margins (sight 10 ½ x 13 ½”), framed to 13 ½ x 16 ½”. Several repaired closed tears with restored losses outside image; one tear affects lettering in “Virginia.” Rare; we could locate only one copy outside the Library of Congress.
