Wooden Plug Box. Circa 1890. Small objects placed in the cylinder change when the lid is placed on, then removed. Finely made shell. Paper label underneath. Height 1 ¾”. Traditionally made from metal, the Plug Box was a standard magic prop. This is the first vintage example we have seen made from wood.
