Silk and Water Lota Vase. Thayer [?], ca. 1925. Spun copper vase with Grecian handles. Water is emptied from the vase; it refills repeatedly. Then, dry silk handkerchiefs of three different colors are produced from within. Three silk compartments. With original stoppers. 12” high. Tarnished; good. A photograph of Floyd Thayer in his workshop, showing an identical vase in the background, is the only evidence as to the maker of this unusual prop.
