Contemporary half navy blue Levant with gilt rules over marbled boards, monogram of the New York City silk magnate family (Ryle) tooled in gilt on front covers, raised bands, compartments elegantly framed and tooled with cornerpieces and titling, marbled endpapers, t.e.g. Frontispieces in each volume; several hand-colored; additional uncolored plates from etchings throughout. 8vos. Few signatures uncut, pages untrimmed. Occasional rubbing to outer joints and fore edges of covers, front board detached in final volume but present; a handsome set.
