Publisher’s brown cloth pictorially stamped in gilt and ruled in blind. Engraved additional pictorial title, large folding panorama frontispiece engraved by John Andrew after Alfred R. Waud on 8 sheets joined (over 11 feet long) highlighting nearly 700 miles of gulf and river navigation stretching from Niagara Falls, through Lake Ontario, into the Saint Lawrence River, and out into the Gulf of St. Lawrence that connects the Atlantic Ocean to Quebec’s St. Lawrence canal. Plus a folding railway map bound at rear (19 x 13 ½”) of Canada West for the Canadian Almanac published by Maclear & Co. (Toronto, 1857). Profusely illustrated. 12mo. 66, [1], 4pp. (publisher ads). Spine sunned; maps in near fine condition with no separations or repairs at folds as usually seen. Sabin 33938; Lande 1862.
