Original half calf over pebbled boards, front cover titled and stamped in gilt, six compartments separated by raised bands with gilt tooling, titling in one compartment, marbled endpapers, t.e.g. Illustrated with 31 (of 36; lacking frontispiece) full page engravings + 2pp. Extremities rubbed, front outer joint eroded and reinforced; plates fine. An extremely rare copy last appearing at auction in 1920 and could only be located in a few institutions. OCLC 18086282.
