Original padded calf stamped with a rugged grain and lettered in gilt, a.e.g. Profusely illustrated with photos of the West Point class of 1915 including the two great generals of the modern era; Omar Bradley and Dwight Eisenhower, both with full-page entries. The author of Ike’s entry writes “the most promising [running] back in Eastern football– but the Tufts game broke his knee and the promise. Now Ike must content himself with tea, tiddledywinks and talk, at all of which he excels…” the author goes on to teasingly imagine him “leading us in a long, loud yell– Dar Devil Dwight, the Dauntless Don.” 4to.
