Twice inscribed by Killens on half-title: “For Odessa & Jim/Sincere regards/John Killens/ 3–18–66”; written below the previous inscription: “Thanks for/a lovely evening/John”. Also inscribed by Sidney Poitier: "Happiness Always, Sidney Poitier". Laid-in with a prospectus advertising a book signing “party” for this title. Publisher’s beige cloth stamped in black and blue, red top stain, unclipped dust jacket. 8vo. Jacket toned with slight rubbing to panels with few closed tears or chips, top edges to boards sunned; inscriptions clean.
