Le Dair, Jack. Trio of Jack Le Dair’s Stage-Used Props/Gimmicks. Including an oversized Thumb Tip used by Le Dair, his metal Dye Tube, and the giant matches used in his routine titled “Matchtricks with Matchsticks,” in which he demonstrated puzzles with matches using the giant versions offered here by laying them out and rearranging them on a display board. Each item accompanied by a LOA attesting to the history and use of the article, and a copy of LeDair’s book, Tricks of a Trouper. Le Dair (c. 1881 – 1952) was a regular performer in British music halls of the Edwardian era, and authored a book based on his columns in Abracadabra magazine, offered here. He was also a regular performer at St. George’s Hall.
