Chung Ling Soo (William Ellsworth Robinson). Chung Ling Soo ALS, signed Twice. Dated June 11 1902, Soo writes to the juggler Wallau, offering him a position in his show, if he will make himself “generally useful” in Soo’s production, and promises to make the juggler a name if “will work for it.” Soo offers a six month contract with a possible “one or two year” extension, and will supply costumes and transportation if the juggler will pay for his own room and board. Signed, “Chung Ling Soo,” and signed again in Soo’s hand on the facing page, and giving his current address as the Tivoli Theatre, London. Old central folds, else good. Scarce.
