Goldin, Horace (Hyman Elias Goldstein). Horace Goldin’s Trick/Illusion Idea Notebook. Cloth-backed board-bound cash book bearing a label on the front cover in Goldin’s hand, “Tricks/Illusions/Ideas.” The interior pages filled with Goldin’s holographic notes on tricks to make, lists of tricks for programs, notes (including tricks he wishes to purchase from Jon Martin, and notes apparently made in preparation for his biography, It’s Fun to be Fooled), and ideas for some 40 effects. A few of the latter with his rough sketches and extensive descriptions. Together with a silver print portrait postcard of Goldin. Obtained by Granville Taylor from Lucille Lafarge, whose husband, The Great Lyle, purchased a good portion of Goldin’s show and personal property.
