Houdini, Harry (Ehrich Weisz). Houdini TLS on Mourning Letterhead. Dated Sept. 29, 1914. Houdini writes to a Mr. Evans regarding his recent move from 278 W. 113th St. to 394 East 21st St., Brooklyn, and mentions his ever growing collection, and the creation of a scrapbook filled with memorabilia supplied by Evans, stating that he “Call[s] it the Evans material scrap book.” Engraved portrait of Houdini in upper left, black borders. Old central folds, old notation in upper margin. Signed boldly, “H. Houdini.”
