Maskelyne, John Nevil. J.N. Maskelyne ALS. Dated June 7, 1915, the inventive and enterprising magician writes to Lonnie Glenrose in a candid tone, stating, “I intend to work you into the programme as soon as possible but cannot fix a date…I find that the finances of the business are in such a deplorable condition I must exercise the greatest economy until I can pull the receipts up. They have just now dropped to a point unprecedented.” On one folded sheet of St. George’s Hall letterhead, signed boldly “J.N. Maskelyne.” With the original mailing cover, address in Maskelyne’s hand.
