Early 1850s “Lemon Peel” Baseball. Circa 1850s, possibly 1840s. Classic lemon peel design with a single piece of leather tied off with four distinct lines, not connecting on backside. Circumference 7 ½”; as opposed to today’s standard size of 10 ¼”. Leather rubbed, seams still holding. A rare relic of early American baseball.
