[Welles, Orson] Orson Welles’ Locking “Three Ring Circus” Linking Rings. Brooklyn: Connie Haden for Richard Himber, 1960s. Mechanical set of three rings devised by Himber and manufactured by Haden for the traditional Linking Ring routine, in which the solid steel bands link and unlink in a bewildering routine. Unlike most apparatus constructed for the trick, this model may be minutely examined by spectators after the trick is performed. Diameter 9 ½”.
