Hess Tank Trailer 1967 “Red Velvet” in Original Box. Perth Amboy, NJ: Hess Oil & Chemical Corp., 1967. Eighteen-wheel Hess Gasoline toy truck, made in USA, with original red velvet tray insert and pictorial box cover. Box size 16 x 4 x 4”. Notably, the decals on this example are, by manufacturer’s error, reversed from standard placement, with “Gasoline” at the front on the left side, and “Hess” at front on the right side, when normally these are in the opposite position. Battery cover not marked by Marx. Larger rear decal. Glossy box with several tape repairs and light staining, but sturdy. Truck very good to near fine, all parts clean and sharp including strong decals (scrape to “Fuel Oils” decal, very slight blemishes to door decals). Lacks battery card.
