Freer, Winston. Group of Winston Freer Magic Publications. Including The Compiled Magic of Doc Maxam (1954; signed by Freer); 25 Rice Bowl Methods (n.d., with the “Maxam” Glass Bean Bowls Routine included at page 10); the Maxam Band manuscript with sample fabric bands; and a tab-cut mimeographed diary called The 17 Fundamental Effects of Magic, being a sort of personal checklist of the most elemental effects in the magician’s art compiled by Freer, with the suggestion that the user compile his own lists of those tricks that fit in to his prescribed fundamental categories. The largest 8vo, with crude illustrations in two of the volumes. Generally good condition; uncommon.
