Marlo, Ed. Ed Marlo Papers, Correspondence, and Annotated Magazines. Bulk 1950s-60s. Lot of original Marlo manuscript material, including an envelope of handwritten, typed and mimeographed correspondence to and from Marlo, and other papers, mostly on card magic and related subjects. Together with several issues of magazines such as The New Tops and Magick which contain scattered annotations by Marlo. Among the correspondence to Marlo are letters from Martin Gardner, who encloses an article from Scientific American with the note, “Ed—In case you haven’t seen this yet—Martin”; Jon Racherbaumer; copies of text on magic effects from Marlo to be sent to Hugard’s Monthly and Tops magazine; and others. An interesting and revealing file worthy of close study.
