Enormous entrance banner painted by Johnson and featuring bold text and silhouettes of three nearly-naked women, bright text heralding “The Girls of Enchantment/The Girls of Excitement/The Girls of Illusion. Presented Live in Person.” With the name of the magician “The Great Rafael” in a call-out at the lower left. Silver and deep blue border with silver stars in the field. Approximately 93 x 232”. Signed by the artist. In used but very good condition overall. Featured in the now-classic reference on sideshow banners, “Freaks, Geeks, and Strange Girls” (p. 130/31).
