With second title for “…To his arrival in Savannah in Georgia” (same imprint). Error in paging: page number 165–168 repeated. Period calf over wood boards, covers double ruled in blind (covers worn; several voids to lower panel, upper cover with vertical fold and with few worm holes, joints starting, first several quires sprung, leaves rounded at corners, lacking A1 (first title), E2, and E11; else complete). Provenance: previous ownership signatures of Whitefield on sig. A2, and James Lent (1782–1833; U.S. Representative) to inside upper board. Evans 4683. A RARE TITLE PUBLISHED BY BENJAMIN FRANKLIN FOR HIS LIFELONG FRIEND, GEORGE WHITEFIELD. Last seen at public auction in 1904 at the Library of Bishop John F. Hurst sale.
