Woodcut device on title depicting Samson and the lion, woodcut initial of two Minotaur’s fighting. Contemporary blind-blocked dark calf over boards, covers blind stamped with several frames enclosing depictions of various saints, central devices depicting acorns, raised bands, several spine labels in manuscript (title label chipped), two chord ties present (frayed); portion of old manuscript on vellum used as binder’s waste bound at title and last signature, handwritten manicule on p. 486 (few small worm holes to upper compartment, slight separation to lower compartment and foot of front cover, bands protruding, front hinge broken with spine cleanly detached (but present), text block splayed, contemporary ownership signature to title).
