A ruby glass ambrotype of a seated Union soldier in full military uniform, posing with his rifle and bayonet, his forefinger on the barrel. Housed in original Union thermoplastic case bearing an embossed image of cupid and a wounded stage, with pressed velvet interior lining. Sight, 3 ½ x 2 ½” (quarter plate). Near fine.
